It has been too long since I updated my website, but exciting things have been happening. The play by Martin Casella based on my first novel premiered at the 2015 New York Fringe Festival to sold out shows and rave reviews. At the end of the festival, Casella won the Outstanding Playwriting Award.

The film rights for The Report have been optioned by a filmmaker who grew up in Bethnal Green. He remembers his grandmother telling him about the crush the novel is based on. If this seems too good to be true, I agree! I’m holding my breath.

Amazon UK asked me to write a blog post to accompany the Kindle Single published this week. This month is the 69th anniversary of the disaster at Bethnal Green, so I wrote about how I found the story of THE REPORT and how the book seems to be helping those who want to build a permanent memorial at the site.

Two wonderful new reviews of The Report, the first at Too Fond of Books and the second at Charlotte Reads Classics. Charlotte says the book makes a “fabulous combination” with Atonement, one of my favorite novels.

In the UK, The Report was on the Best Reads 2012 list of the TV Book Club. The program aired Sunday, March 18, 2012, on Channel 4 — my television debut.
